If your household earned $54,000 or less and you have a simple* return, we can prepare and file your taxes free during tax season. If your household is over $54,000, but under $66,000 you can still file your federal and state taxes free at 

There are two (2) ways we can help you get your taxes filed:

1). Schedule an in-person appointment. 2). Schedule a drop-off/pick-up appointment.

Whether in-person or drop-off/pick up, there are a few required forms you will need to complete and tax documents you will need to bring. You can download, print and complete the forms included in the checklist below or if you do not have access to a printer, we can mail them to you or you can complete them at our office.


CHECKLIST (What to bring)

_____ IRS mandatory Intake Form completed. Download here.

_____ ATCAA and IRS mandatory authorization and intake information completed. Download here.

_____Photo ID for taxpayer and spouse

_____Social Security Cards for taxpayer, spouse and dependents.

_____Birth dates for primary, secondary and dependents.

_____All income statements: W-2, 1099’s, Social Security Benefits statements, etc..

_____Interest and dividend statements from banks (form 1099).

_____A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available.

_____Bank routing numbers and account numbers for direct deposit if there is a refund.

_____Statement from childcare provider (including tax ID #)

_____Total paid for day care (if applicable) and the day care provider’s identifying number.

_____Medical Insurance form 1095-A, 1095-B or 1095-C.

_____Other income/expense information (e.g. Tuition Credit, Form 1098-T, Student Loan Interest form 1098-E)

*Our volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS through the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. Our volunteers provide free basic tax return preparation with electronic filing. There may be some tax situations which are beyond the scope of our volunteer prepareres. If it is determined that your situation is beyond our scope, we will do our best to provide you alternatives for filing your taxes.


You may qualify for the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) or the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) even if you didn’t make enough money to file. See if you qualify, calculate your refund and find out more at
