Severe Weather Emergency and Transportation Services (SWEATS)

Activated July 3rd - July 12th, 2024.

For Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne County residents

The California Department of Community Services and Development has declared a state of emergency due to weather forecasts indicating excessive heat across much of California and has activated SWEATS. This program serves Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne County residents.

This program is effective Wednesday, July 3rd - Friday, July 12th.  Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) may provide:
  • utility assistance

  • temporary housing

  • transportation services

  • temporary cooling and power appliances

  • other personal tangible items

These services require clients to qualify for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) under the following income guidelines:

 

Monthly Household Gross Income Not To Exceed:

  • One client household up to $2,882.82

  • Two client household up to $3,769.82

  • Three client household up to $4,656.82

  • Four client household up to $5,543.91

  • Five client household up to $6,430.91

  • Six client household up to $7,317.91

  • Seven client household up to $7,484.24
